News Local News January 2012 Meeting Minutes
Verde Valley Vettes Attendance: 13 Secretary’s minutes approved from December meeting. Treasurer’s Report given by Donna McCarty Governor’s Report by Larry McCarty: 2-11: Sanction autocross – Competition Corvette 2-12: Sweetheart Car Show-Tempe, AZ 2-19: Fun Rally – Chandler, AZ 2-19: Vettes on Rocks-Black Canyon City-Parade & Meal 3-31: Mingus H.S. Car Show 5-19: Larry Green Car Show - Need Chairperson-Any volunteer!?? 6-23: NCCC Convention – Topeka, KS 7-21: Ruidoso, NM – Car Show & Rally Old Business: Reminder that all car shows with information and links are posted on our website. Also see pictures of our events. Bernie Myers is now the newsletter editor. New Business: Dick would like to see social events between meetings. Following suggestions were made: Club cruise to Mexico or Hawaii – Larry McCarty to look into Car Cruise – Dorothy Schade to look into a trip to Phoenix Castle Dick suggested a trip to stay at train cars in Williams. He will check this out. Dick also suggested a picnic during the summer also just getting together for dinner between meetings. There 50/50 raffle was won by Tia Gozzi. $14 to Tia and $14 to the club. Ideas were made on where to have the next meeting, Brandi’s new location. A new restaurant in Rimrock- Vintages, 5155 N. Dave Wingfield. Meeting needs to be done before Daytona 500 starts or at a place where we can watch the race. Next meeting is February 26 and location will be determined by Dick Gozzi.
