Fall Club Picnic

We need to get a start on a fall club picnic.  Anyone that wants to chair this please contact Larry Green or Robin Wesigham.

Bailey's Irish Cream Cake

1 Pkg Duncan Hines Yellow cake mix (without pudding).  3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional).  1 Pkg instant french vanilla pudding.  4 eggs.  1/2 cup vegetable oil.  1 cup Bailey's Irish Cream.

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease & flour 12c bundt pan.  Sprinkle nuts into bottom of pan (optional).  Combine remaining ingredients in large mixing bowl.  Beat 4 minutes on high speed.  Pour into pan.  Bake 45 to 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.  Let cake cool and invert onto plate.

Bailey's Irish Cream Frosting

1 pound powdered sugar.  5 1/2 tablespoons butter (softened).  1/4 cup milk.  1/4 teaspoon salt.  2 tablespoons Bailey's Irish Cream.

Beat all ingredients in a small bowl until fluffy.  Spread on cake.  Recipe by Brandi Carter.

Verde Valley Vettes Club Meeting

June 28th we will meet at the Chevron station @ I-17 & Hwy 260 in Camp Verde.  We will leave at 10:00 A.M. sharp to make the drive up to Mormon Lake Lodge for our lunch meeting.  Once again we will follow Dick & Tia, only this year we will take the short cut.  This is a great ride through the cool pines, so make a point of coming along.

Plan Ahead

June:    Club meeting will be in the cool pines with Dick & Tia for a Sunday lunch.

July:    We are looking to do a scavenger hunt followed by the meeting & cook-out.

August:    NCCC 50th Convention - no decision on our club meeting yet.

September:    Possibly a drive out to Kingman and then on to Laughlin for the night.

October:    We have four events including our monopoly run to raise money for Christmas for the kids.

November:    We will be doing shopping for the children and our meeting will be our annual chili dump.  We will also have our nominations for officers.

December:    Cottonwood Christmas Parade, wrapping party and our Christmas party.  Thanks to Steve and Lenore for volunteering to arrange this years Christmas Party.
