Verde Valley Vettes Club Meeting

Verde Valley Vettes August meeting will be held August 24th.  Please plan on meeting @ The Terrace Bar & Grill at the Verde Valley Golf Course for a Breakfast meeting @ 9 AM.

 

Volunteers Needed

We need someone to volunteer to chair the club Christmas Party this year.  As places start to book early for that time of year we need to get a jump-start.  Please contact Royce Hamala or Larry McCarty.

 

Club Cruise

Verde Valley Vettes is hoping to get members to participate in and enjoy a cruise.  The date is set for November 15th - 20th.  The ship sails from San Diego on Nov. 15th @ 4:00 P.M.  It remains at sea on the 16th and pulls into port in Cabo San Lucas on the 17th and will be in port from 8:00 A.M - 5:00 P.M.  The ship will be at sea again on the 18th and be in port in Ensenada on the 19th from 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.  It will then set sail until it docks in San Diego on Nov. 20th @ 8:00 A.M.  Rooms are as follow: Inside - $389.05, Oceanview - $449.05, Balcony - $909.05.  These prices are per person double occupancy.  These prices include all gratuities, port charges and fuel surcharges.  A $200 deposit per person is needed.  Tips for baggage handlers at the port when we leave is usually around $5.00.  You will need a passport or a certified birth certificate and photo ID.  Meals are included but alcoholic drinks and sodas are charged per drink.  Pizza and ice cream bars are open all day and are free.  To check out the cruise go to vacationstogo.com then click on "fast deal" and type in "21359".  Then click on "Carnival Elation" to check out all the things to do on the boat.  If you want to participate we need to know no later than June 10th.  Please contact Larry McCarty @ 928-634-5745.

 

Regional News

Corvette Raffle Tickets: Larry McCarty still has tickets for the Corvette to be given away at the NCCC Convention.  $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00.  See or call him as soon as possible.

Ken Daby was Regional Membership Director, Regional Webmaster, Regional Treasurer and also held the position of club governor of the El Paso Corvettes, Inc.  He was known as a wonderful guy and will be greatly missed by everyone who was honored to know him.
